Hannes Lingens

Hannes Lingens is a musician and composer of contemporary and experimental music. Most of his work is located in the intersection between improvisation and composition, often taking the form of oral instructions, graphic notation or card games.

He has performed in most European countries, Japan, Israel, Russia and the USA as part of the ensembles Die Hochstapler and Obliq and with artists like Lucio Capece, Johnny Chang, Sven-Åke Johansson, Takako Suzuki and John Tilbury. Next to Umlaut, his music has been released on labels such as Intonema, Insub, Another Timbre and Edition Wandelweiser.
