The first release by Pierre-Antoine Badaroux features a 45 minutes-long original composition. A work-in-progress based on very simple ideas, this is a sound-world of its own. Deeply rooted in jazz rhythmical ideas and the open scores tradition, this work blends improvisation and composition in a very unique way. This performance — one of an infinity of possible ones — gives to the listener an insight to the composer’s voice, but also to the very peculiar approaches of the young musicians of this sextet, all very active in the contemporary european music scenes.
