Formed in 2018, the string trio Eponj is deeply rooted in the energetic movement that contributed in the last years to widen the horizons of creative music in Berlin. Partaking the adventures of new realities like Klub Demboh and Au Topsi Pohl and collaborating with many musicians like Tristan Honsinger and Michael Zerang, Eponj shaped its own language based on sounds, movements and words.
This recording session captures the trio playing in a spontaneous way its whole repertoire: songs, sketches, dialogues and games appear in a stream of joyful and questioning improvisation in search of the mystery of its own tradition.
